This was about the time I realized the rot permeating the anti-sjw community was terminal. Unfortunately the community continued it's downward spiral of depravity long LONG after Milo became viral. I used to watch a few of those atheist YT channels like TJ and Thunderfoot and then all of a sudden they started trashing "sjw's" which i'm ashamed to say at first I did not question that much because the aesthetic was so similar to the anti religious content that it felt like a natural progression from subject to subject, and also because it was fun to watch people pick at what I then considered to be low hanging fruit. I started noticing problems very quickly with the changing ideas and changing behaviors that were acceptable in the community. It went from lefties and trans people being criticized for some questionable but innocuous hot takes to trans people being ridiculed for the very idea of being trans, from influential adults trashing other influential adults to influential adults with millions of followers harassing children with ridicule, rape jokes, open hatred, and by deliberately mobilizing followers to increase the scale of the harassment. I'd argue the exact same thing has happened with the cringe community as well. I'm glad I stopped watching that content so early on but it still wasn't early enough. I take some solace in the fact that I was never confident enough in the anti sjw beliefs I had to espouse them publicly or to criticize the subjects of the content directly, but i now know that my support for that content led to the real life harm of people who did not deserve it.
